Decluttering Our Minds and Our Lives

Is stuff taking over your mind and life? Too much stuff causes worry, anxiety and takes up too much of our time. Stuff can be emotional or physical things. I hate clutter and yet I end up with stuff everywhere in my house. If we are spending too much time, energy and money on our possessions then something needs to change. How many possessions does one really need? I’ve come to the conclusion that less is more!

Things that can complicate our mind and our life:

Difficult Relationships - Sometimes difficult relationships are allowed to become the focal point of our thoughts and take over or complicate our lives. Whether it be resentments held toward others or difficult family, friends or co-workers that we have to deal with frequently.  Changing our attitude toward those types of relationships is the only way to gain control of our emotions. Perhaps we need to reduce our expectations of these people and focus our attention elsewhere. Laughter Is Good For Your Health

Laughter is the best medicine. It’s good for the soul. We should actually plan to add laughter into our lives. Watch a funny movie, read a funny story, play with the kids, or share laughter with a friend. Just laugh!

According to WebMD, a medical professor at the University of California Irvine has found that laughter plays a role in helping to fight viruses and bacteria, and possibly cancer and heart disease. Laughter reduces the secretion of stress hormones. [Read more...]
