Cooking With K is a blog filled with family recipes which we all know is the best kind! Kay has a passion for cooking that was inspired by her mother and she shares the recipes from her mom and her Granny. She is also in the process of writing a cookbook to showcase these recipes. I love recipes that are passed down from one generation to the next because they hold special meaning and memories that are fun to remember when you are cooking them.
On her about me page she states that God orders all the plans for her life and that “It’s the simple things that matter. Live for Jesus, Love your Family, Care for Others, Build His Church!” I love that statement! So true and what a perfect way to live your life.
Cooking together is a great way to spend time with family and friends. Sharing recipes, teaching younger ones how to cook, eating together and even cleaning up after enjoying a wonderful day together are great ways to enjoy one another!
I found so many recipes I want to try on her website and I know you will to. One of her newest posts is for Strawberry Limeade like you can get from Sonic! Since it is 97 degrees here today that one is going on my list to try!
Granny’s Creamy Fruit Salad is perfect for these hot summer months when fruit is plentiful! It’s full of peaches, pineapple chunks, strawberries, Mandarin oranges and bananas. My husband loves any kind of fruit so I know this one will be a hit at our house!
The picture she has of her Homemade Peach Ice Cream made my mouth water it looked so good! I’ve never made homemade ice cream but I think I’ll give this one a try.
Peaches are my favorite fruit and she has a wonderful recipe for Fresh Peach Cobbler from her Granny. So you know it’s good! That won’t last long at our house. I love peach cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!
I’m sure you will find plenty of recipes to try that your family will love!
